SMART GROWTH

The name “Smart Development” is not accidental. It refers to the ability of a child or a group of children to develop and advance their abilities and skills with the help of education and experience. In practice, the term “smart development” includes the understanding of goals, strategies and the search for elements that can improve any situation through the effort for continuous improvement and development of the individual.

But what are competencies, and what is the difference between them and skills? Competencies are a general set of qualifications while skills are a specific set.

Competencies include abilities and talents at the academic, social, physical and mental levels. Furthermore, in competencies we should take into account the values that a person has developed in his life. Skills, on the other hand, are specific abilities, particularly developed and staffed in a person's life.

The goal of Smart Development is to enhance both the abilities and skills of each child. But how can this be done when each child is different? In Smart Development, we have divided skills and abilities into 3 levels. For each level, we have developed comprehensive programs. After discussing with the parents or guardians of the students, we recommend the appropriate program for each child.

But what happens when a child presents great heterogeneity in his abilities and skills? In this case, the child can follow a combination of integrated programs at Smart Development consisting of two or three different levels:

Stella Giannaki

Kindergarten Teacher | Owner

The education and development of each child is a special mission for me.

My name is Stella Giannaki and I am a kindergarten teacher, a graduate of the Department of Education and Early Childhood Education Sciences of the University of Patras.

My love for children and my deep belief that every child is unique and deserves equal opportunities for development were the inspiration, together with my sister, for the creation of the «Smart Development Aigaleo» Study & Special Therapy Center. We created a space where every child and their family feel safe, trustful and supported, within an environment that promotes learning, development and collaboration.

Preschool age is the most important stage for a child's cognitive, linguistic, emotional and social development. I believe that when difficulties are identified early and addressed with the right guidance, the best conditions are created for a smooth school career and a balanced personal development.

As a member of the "Smart Development" network, we utilize modern, scientifically proven methods, specialized educational tools and innovative learning practices. In collaboration with an interdisciplinary team of specialized professionals, we design personalized programs that respond to the needs, capabilities and unique way of learning of each child. At the same time, we combine the dynamics of an organized nationwide network with the personal care and human relationship that every child and every family deserves.

Maria (Maro) Giannaki

I believe that every child deserves to grow up in an environment where they feel safe, accepted and confident in their abilities.

My name is Maria Giannaki and I am a graduate of the Department of Social Theology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). At the same time, I have completed a certified training program in Special Education, expanding my knowledge and skills in supporting children with different educational needs.

My love for children and my belief that every child can develop when offered the appropriate stimuli, the right guidance and an environment full of encouragement, were the inspiration, together with my sister, for the creation of the "Smart Development Egaleo" Study & Special Therapies Center.

I believe in the power of an individualized approach, close collaboration with the family, and interdisciplinary support. Every child is unique and deserves to receive the appropriate guidance to develop their potential at their own pace, strengthen their self-confidence, and enjoy the process of learning and personal development.

Through Smart Development Egaleo, my goal is to contribute daily to the creation of a space that offers high quality services, with scientific responsibility, respect and real interest for each child and their family. The greatest reward for me is to see children develop, gain self-confidence and achieve their goals, building a solid foundation for their future.

Our philosophy

At Smart Development Egaleo we believe that every child has their own pace of development and learning. With respect for their uniqueness, we create the right conditions for them to develop their skills, strengthen their self-confidence and love knowledge.

For us, studying doesn't just mean completing schoolwork. It means the child understanding what they are learning, organizing their thoughts, cultivating critical thinking, acquiring good study habits, and gradually becoming autonomous and responsible.

Our relationship with parents is based on honesty, cooperation and constant communication. We believe that parents deserve to know the true picture of their child. For this reason, we responsibly inform about his progress, the difficulties he may face, but also about the steps he takes daily. Trust and the common path of the family and the scientific team are the basis of every success.

A personal message to parents

As professionals who are next to children and their families every day, we would like to share a thought.

The younger a child is, the greater the potential to strengthen their skills and effectively address the difficulties they may experience.

If there is something that concerns you about your child's development, speech, behavior, or learning, don't leave it until later. Early assessment and proper intervention can really make a difference.

Don't hesitate to ask for guidance or support. The time you spend with your child today is a valuable investment in their future. Early intervention is not a sign of weakness, but an act of love, responsibility and faith in their potential.
